Application
Before you can start the year of your life with us, you have to go through a multi-stage application process. Our goal is to get to know you better and find out what you are passionate about. In order to find the right placement, it is important to talk openly about your strengths, but also about challenges. At the same time, we want to give you the opportunity to learn more about us and your future service project.
As part of the application process, you will need to complete a number of questionnaires, as well as take medical checks, deal with the authorities and provide written references from your personal background. In order to be able to complete everything in time for February, we therefore recommend that you start the process early (from September).
The application deadline is in February before the planned departure. After that, you will be assigned to a placement. We try to take into account the wishes of the applicants as well as the requirements of the placement.
Requirements
Before you start the application process, please read through the following requirements. They are an important basis for a successful application:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are an Austrian citizen or an EU citizen with your main residence in Austria.
- You have good English or foreign language skills.
- You are willing to adapt to the cultural and faith-specific characteristics of your country of assignment or your local assignment site.
- You share our vision and our beliefs (see here).
- You are willing to participate in the obligatory preparation and re-entry seminars of your assignment (educational concept of 150 hours).

Letter of motivation + CV ( German + English)
In a first step, we need a strong letter of motivation and your CV, both in German and English.
Documents and references
You will be given a comprehensive English questionnaire to complete and you will be asked for references from your personal environment. You will also make an appointment with your doctor for a medical check-up.
Personal interview
During a personal interview, we would like to get to know each other, clarify questions and discuss the next steps. From this point on, the selection of a suitable placement is also a topic in the application process.
Interview with the placement site
In a last step before the final assignment, we arrange a video meeting for you with the project leader of your future placement. This is an important basis for the upcoming assignment.
Assignment to the placement site
After the successful completion of the application process with us as the supporting organisation and the agreement of our partner organisation in the country of assignment, the final assignment of the applicants takes place.
